The nursery is staffed for 40 children in the morning and the same number in the afternoon. There are two part-time sessions each day. These two sessions are the same length.
Morning: 9.00 am – 11.30 am
Afternoon: 12.45 pm – 3.15 pm
Children are expected to attend for a half-day session on each school day.
A child may be admitted to the nursery after his/her 3rd birthday, if there is a place available. Each child is given a peg with a picture to identify his/her own place in the cloakroom. This place remains his/hers alone until he/she leaves the nursery.
Please let us know if someone other than yourself will collect your child and also if you are collecting another child with your own. I ask all parents to co-operate by waiting until the child’s name is called by the teacher before he/she takes him/her home. This ensures that each child is collected by a responsible person and that no child wanders out alone. Children will not be handed over to older children at the end of a session. It is the parents’ responsibility to collect the child, or to arrange for a responsible adult (over 16 years) to come.
