Greenacre is one of the schools that are maintained by Sefton Local Authority and this Admissions Policy is based upon the criteria for admission to Nursery Schools and Classes, laid down by the Authority,
Children who are at least three years old are mainly admitted to Greenacre in the Autumn term when children have left to attend primary school. Places are filled throughout the year.

Applications forms can be submitted when a child has reached the age of two. Places will be allocated according to the date of receipt of the application. Parents will be informed of the position on the waiting list upon enquiry. In the event of more than one application being received on the same date the proximity of the home address to the school will be a deciding factor.
All children are eligible for admission. Preference will be given to children who already have a brother or sister attending the school. The Governors will give preference to children who can attend for at least three terms.
The discretion of the Headteacher and Governors can be applied to ten per cent of any admission.
The Headteacher and Governors reserve the right to allocate a place to a child in circumstances where an emergency or crucial state has arisen. This will only be done after full consideration has been given to all aspects of the case in question and only when it is considered to be in the best interest of the child.
